Craftiness

So I am getting pretty anxious for this little baby girl to be here.  I swear that some days, that's all I think about! As much as I love being a nanny for the boys, I think I will love being a mother even more.  My excitement has gotten me into a crafty mood, even though I don't have a crafty bone in my body. I have always seemed to at least attempt to pretend :)  Sometimes, it turns it out..but most of the time not..haha it's the thought that counts, right?

Firstly,(is that a word?)  Christina, Erica, and I got together to  make a tag blankies for each of our little girls..Christina graciously let us use fabric and gave us a tutorial on how to make them.  Yes, mine is a little rough around the edges, and yes, Tan did ask me if it was a hot pad when I proudly showed him my creation.

Next, I have always loved soft blankets.  With lots of help from my awesome momma, I made this "minky"  for baby.  It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but it is one of my few creations that has turned out! She better like it..or I will probably use it for myself :)

Okay, So it's not much, but I was proud of these little beauties I made. I have always wanted to know how girls make such cute little flowers and with the help of my sister Alysha (yes she is 12)  I had so much fun learning!  More fun projects are floating around in my mind, so depending on how much time I find between working and having her, we will see what actually happens!

Life is great and Tanner is enjoying his time at Marquette, or at least as much as you can enjoy school.  So grateful for conference weekend and the time to just relax and listen!
